Title: Indistinguishable
Author: lesyeuxverts
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Severus/Lily
Prompt: #10
Warnings: DH spoilers
Disclaimer: Not mine

Severus left the lily on the grave, a pink splash against the marble. He did not turn back – he did not reach with a twist of magic to cast a preservation spell or push the graveyard into unseasonal bloom.

The world did not stop.

The heavens did not open to flood the world and turn the life that was left into mud and misery. The sun did not darken. The shadows kept their normal hue and places.

At the gate, Severus turned. The dot of pink was indistinguishable among the graves – one headstone next to its mate, among its fellows.

Fawkes fluttered on his perch, and the silver instruments whirred at the sound of clinking china. Steam rose from the tea, forming patterns and messages in the air. All was well.

The Headmaster's office was heavy with the weight of centuries, with portraits that had watched through countless years and ashes that had survived uncounted risings of the phoenix. Unchanging and changeless, it had seen the best and worst of Hogwarts.

Fawkes fluttered on his perch, and Albus popped a lemon sherbet into his mouth, grimacing as he swallowed. The sweet-sour tang was flat, painted mockery of the true taste.

Title: Not Enough
Author: lesyeuxverts
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Prompt: #7, "You get what everyone gets -you get a lifetime" -- Recurring quote from Death in Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" series.
Warnings: DH spoilers
Disclaimer: Not mine.

Draco slipped into the Forest after Harry, more faithful than his shadow.

He marked the place in memory. He followed Harry to the graves, conjuring roses as they went.

"You can come out now." Harry's head was turned and his profile stark in the moonlight.

Draco slipped to his side and took his hand, warming cold knuckles with quick kisses. "I know."

"Leave the Stone. It's not ..."

Draco pulled him down to kneel by Snape's grave. He laid out a thicket of half-open rosebuds, letting his fingers linger on the marble.

"A lifetime with you is not enough for me."
