When Snape stumbled, Harry caught him, and when he cursed, Harry pressed him against the wall and kissed him hard.
"Quiet – they'll hear us."
Snape was gaunt and scowling and his fingers left bruises on Harry's arms. For all of his pains, Snape bit Harry's tongue.
"I don't care if they hear us – I didn't ask to be rescued, Potter."
The waves beat on the shore and the boat was waiting. Harry sent his Patronus ahead, silver light skimming over the dark water to light their way.
"I think you need a chance to make resolutions again," he told Snape.
