Summary: AU. Harry is Sorted into Slytherin and Snape is confronted with some disturbing realizations.
Warnings: Includes non-graphic references to child abuse.
AN: All witches, wizards, magical places and ideas, etc. etc. belong to JK Rowling and not to me ... because I'm not creative enough... or dedicated enough ... to write seven long books like that.
This is an AU fic set in Harry's first year: imagine that Hagrid never made that comment about all Dark Wizards being Slytherin ... imagine that the Dursleys were just a little bit more abusive than they were in canon ... imagine how Professor Snape would react to having Harry in Slytherin.

I'm still working on "Like poppy and memory" ... but this fic just popped up behind my eyelids and ambushed me. I'm innocent, I swear. Totally innocent. But do tell me if you think I should continue with it or if it should just remain a one-shot.
