Fingers pressed to breastbone and lips to fingertips – it's a shadow show, a strange charade, and silent Severus uses it. Heart against heart, a touch imparts his history of shame.
His heartbeat stutters, his breathing falters. Skin on skin, their different lusts collide. These are the final ways, his penance paid in a parody of love.
No dream is forever, his duplicity discovered, the sacrament denied.
These touches, kisses, more lovelorn collisions – no shadow show, no penance plied, this melody unwound.
A deliberate defiling, Harry's innocence uncrowned. Their strange charade converted, they begin in forgiven sin, mere pretense at love.
