Harry leaned against the window. Nose pressed to it, he saw his reflection in the black glass.
Sirius caught him from behind with strong hands – warm hands. "Come away, Harry. There's nothing for you there."
Harry let Sirius pull him away, yielding to his warmth. "Sirius – don't leave me."
"I'll never leave you, Harry."
Harry turned in his embrace. Sirius's arms tightened around him. "It does no good to look back."
Through a glass, darkly, Harry saw his friends. Through a veil, tattered, he heard their voices.
He turned away from the darkness, into the light – he turned to Sirius.

Remus took the tent from Charlie and assembled it with a flick of his wand. He conjured a camp chair and sat in the shadow of a tree, looking up at the mountain.
"Thank you," he said.
Charlie brought him a cup of tea, smiling at him through the rising steam. "We'll climb the mountain tomorrow."
Dark and jagged, rising above the other mountains in the range – Remus shuddered. "Must we?"
"The dragons hunt in the valleys," Charlie said. "We'll find you a hideaway – safe from beasts and man alike."
"Thank you," Remus said.
There was nothing else to say.

Draco pushed Harry back onto the bed, beating him with both fists. "Cancelled? What do you mean?"
Harry caught his wrists and rolled over, pinning him to the bed. "Your mother cancelled our engagement party."
Draco struggled, but Harry overpowered him. "Don't blame me. She's your mother."
Harry nipped Draco's earlobe, taking his wrists in one hand and using the other to unbutton his robes. "She doesn't understand that a cancelled party won't keep us apart – fine."
He kissed Draco, claiming him, bruising his lips. "But you're not going down to dinner with her. She will understand that you're mine."
