Ten things that have recently amused Lyvvy

1. Fr. W calling Kirkegaard's "knight of resignation" a drip. Seriously priceless.

2. The csiV gene, which the speaker mistakenly said had to do with "crime scene investigation" and not "cell shape integrity" ... whoops!

3. The locust/ash debate over those leaves I found. At this point, I've no clue what they are, but it's too funny!

4. 56.50 ... No, I really can't explain this one, but trust me - it's hilarious.

5. The phrase "cheesier than Velveeta"

6. Kitty!

B and B and I were walking around in the public gardens this afternoon with our Starbucks, and we were talking about the animals we chase. For me, it's pigeons (they're SO FUNNY when they scatter), for B #1 it's squirrels, and for B #2 it's rats (she's a brave one). B #2 told us that she always used to shout "Kitty!" like an over-excited toddler when she was chasing after the rats ... so we saw a clump of pigeons, and I jumped right after them, shouting "Kitty!" in front of a group of parents&children. B #1 chased a squirrel the same way, but no-one else was around just then.

... Seriously, it was hilarious, and that's not just the caffeine talking.

7. A conversation that I apparently had while really drunk at my roommate's bday party. One of the guests just friended me on facebook with this message: "Hey, I came across this article and thought of our conversation. I wonder what the evolutionary benefit of boycotting injust rewards is."

... I have no recollection of that conversation whatsoever. None.

8. My father has discovered the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

9. "church: the sequel" (as B calls it) ... takes place in the pub down the street, of course. *g*

(Clearly I was not there ... I was chasing after pigeons instead.)

10. The fact that I, having never roasted vegetables before in my life, decided that I could just throw some in the oven (+oil+salt+pepper+oregano) in a pan, at a random temperature for a random amount of time.

Hey, it worked. That's even funnier, isn't it?

Lyv! Hi sweeties. This is an adorable post, but I also just wanted to stop by and say HI and give you a big snuggly *hug* because I have not talked to you for a much too long time. So here you go:
HI!
*HUGS*

:)

*HUGS* Hi! Missed you too, hon!

Sorry this is lame and super-late ... I always seem to get backlogged in comments and without time to write out proper responses. I don't understand how people keep up with everything, I really don't...

I'd definitely have to say locust, after seeing the picture of the leaves. Ash are a different shape, and have less leaflets per leaf (they're both compound leaves, though).

Cooking at random temps is always fun.

Crime Scene Investigation gene? *snort*

*snort* Yeah, in Vibrio. Haha, I'm sure that the little bugs would be great investigators ... only not.

Okay, thanks for the help with the leaves! Hopefully I will have time to get back to NaNo sometime this week and be able to write that in ... *sigh*. I need 27-hour days.

Hey, at least you're not poisoning pigeons in the park. :D

Well no, I don't think I'd be tempted to poison them ... that would be too cruel really!
