Fic rec

Okay. So. I wasn't going to rec anything from [insanejournal.com profile] reversathon because it kind of defeats the purpose of an anonymous fest if you rec everything except your own story. Still, I can't resist, because this story is worth a rec for every word (11,000, give or take). It is absolutely fabulous, and if all y'all don't drop your picnic plans to read it immediately, and tell the author how much you love her ... well, I don't know what I'll do with you, mostly likely I'll just throw my hands up in despair.

Borrowed Magic. Go. Read. Now. It's amazing.

I've obviously lost the ability to be coherent, so here's the author's fic summary and whatnot:

Pairing(s)/Threesome/Character: Severus/Harry/Draco
Rating: R-ish
Warnings: No real smut, illness/disability fic, some bad language, a pesky ambiguous ending
Request: I would love to see a Snape/Harry/Draco post-war fic with a fluid timeline, established relationship but flashing back to wartime and the gradual formation of their relationship. Erratic timelines, out-of-order scenes, and a gradually unravelling plot are favourites of mine, and long fics are love though by no means necessary. Also, feel free to include sex, though I prefer that as an accessory rather than the focus of the story. If you do, I'm a huge fan of desperate rushed half-clothed sex, sloppy kissing, hair-pulling, biting/marking, power struggles, eye contact, makeshift restraint, and so on.
Summary: What is magic? Where does it come from? These questions plague Harry as he, Severus and Draco work through life, magic, and love in the face of Harry’s devastating illness.

Another rec

Two recs in one day, how cool is that?

[insanejournal.com profile] snarry_fan7 wrote a drabble for me! It's called Thank you and it is so sweet! I just love sweet and tender Snarry as much as I love the angsty, tense variety, and you should all go tell her how awesome it is - and encourage her to write more! Her first drabble written for me - it's more than enough to turn a girl's head, I'm telling you.

Though this is definitely backwards, as I am meant to be thanking her for the fantastic beta, and not the other way around ... Well, I'm working on a sneaky plan for that as soon as my Muse steps away from the rum bottle and back to me! I really, really, really appreciate everyone who has been betaing for me lately - everyone who's betaed for me ever, really, but particularly all the people who put up with my grumping and grousing over the [insanejournal.com profile] reversathon monster. You guys are so awesome, and I want to thank you all, I do!

*sigh* ... off Muse hunting, then. Perhaps I'd better wander over to the alcohol, I might have a better chance of finding her there... ?
