A second batch of holiday recs :)

I meant to post these weekly, but then Yuletide ate my brain, and ... what do you mean, it isn't the second week of December still?
Usual disclaimer applies - I am still majorly behind in reading for many of these fests, but here's what I especially liked out of what I've read so far!
Best Mates XMas:
Ritus ab Sanatio Adamo: The Rite of Healing Love (Harry/Ron, Ron/Hermione, NC-17): Sex magic and UST and all sorts of amazingness.
Ain't Got Time to Take a Fast Train (Harry/Ron, NC-17): Whew, this one is hot! It's sort of a unique take on an epistolary fic, only ... well, with added hotness. *g*
Happy Trekmas:
Pretty, Pretty Pasha (McCoy/Chekov, NC-17): Smoking hot cross-dressing, with a super-sweet tenderness that just makes you want to fall in love.
Gossip, Guidance, and Guile (Kirk/McCoy, NC-17): Banter and matchmaking and USTand hotness and everything wonderful!
A Cabin in the Woods (Kirk/Spock, NC-17): Deliciously hot; this is the sort of story that is so tautly written, you're kept in suspense until the end, and the denouement is wonderful.
HD Holidays:
The More The Merrier by anon (Harry/Draco, Ron/Pansy, Hermione/Anthony, PG-13): Delightfully Christmassy, with lots of UST and a host of heart-warming friendships. I loved this one for the ensemble cast as much as for the pairing, and seeing them all come together for the holiday was just <3.
Portrait of a Headmaster (Draco/Harry, NC-17): Really creative magic, enthralling plot and characterization, brilliant cameos from Snape and Dumbledore and some of the second generation characters ... what more can one ask for? (Apart from another 100,000 words of this, that is!)
Slick n' Easy (Harry/Draco, Draco/Astoria, Astoria/other, and Ron/Hermione, with fleeting mentions of past Harry/Ginny, NC-17): Apart from the wonderful humor (evident in the title, but also in more subtle ways throughout the fic), this is a wonderful story - thrilling, romantic, hot. You'll want to read it for the great title and keep reading it for the plot and characterisation. It's just brilliant all around ... seriously, drop everything and take an hour to read this.
Joy Ride (Harry/Draco, R): A delightful romp with lots of enjoyable banter.
Draco Malfoy's Travelling Theatre of the Strange and Spectacular (Harry/Draco, Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, various other pairings, NC-17): creative and fun and funny ... the most original fic I've read in a long time, I think, and an enjoyable read.
**Darkstar (Harry/Draco, NC-17): Wow. This is what I call a love story! Brilliant and heart-rending and superbly written and ... anything I say is going to spoil the story, I think. Read this one! (but have some tissues handy if you're a crier like me!)
HP Holidaygen:
If I Wrote You (Dumbledore, Snape, Tom, Gellert, G): A lovely, thought-provoking, beautifully written piece. I love this glimpse into Albus's life and thoughts.
Kinky Kristmas:
He Wants Him (Bill/Draco, Charlie/Draco, NC-17): Omg, deliciously hot! If cuckolding at all appeals to you ... well, this is certainly a wonderful take on it. :)
K/S Advent Calendar:
Young Wine, Old Feeling by
kianspo (Kirk/Spock, NC-17): a beautifully USTy story - so many reasons to read it, but if you're reading *this*, you're not reading *it* ... so hop to it! :)
Celebrations by
aetin (Kirk/Spock, PG): Lovely holiday fic!
It's Vulcan for Humbug by
nimori (Kirk/Spock, PG): Such an awesome holiday on the Enterprise - this one is super-enjoyable, and there is Spock in a Santa hat!
Knitting Lessons by
lettersfromeleanorrigby (Kirk/Spock, PG-13): As warm as a sweater and just as comfortable.
Baby, It's Cold Outside by
stripedpetunia (Kirk/Spock, NC-17): Thank goodness for plot devices engineering problems that Scotty can't fix! This is utterly delightful. :)
RS Small Gifts:
Christmas Past by
quadrant_of_sky (Remus/Sirius, PG-13): A brilliant progression of Christmases, deftly woven together. This one really packs a punch - it's so tightly and beautifully written!
Between the Covers by
deiareads (Remus/Sirius, PG-13): This could have just as easily been called "between the lines" because it's a brilliant example of how personal histories are recorded (or not recorded, as the case may be) - we get a small glimpse of Remus and Sirius's lives from their notes to each other, but there are so many stories that must have been left untold. A beautiful story and very deftly crafted.
Night By Night by
mustntgetmy (Remus/Sirius, PG-13): A lovely narrative, with more witty turns of phrase than I could quote and excellent characterization.
The (Often Forgotten) Mission by
peskywhistpaw (Remus/Sirius, PG-13): What do the Marauders do at Christmas? This is clever and funny and entirely delightful!
The Start of Something Old by
mezzopianoforte (Remus/Sirius, PG-13): The slow, sweet coming-together fic with the exact sort of Sirius-ish humor that is so loveable, I think. This is a very beautiful story.
Each Slow Dusk by
i_claudia (Remus/Sirius, PG-13): Beautiful and poignant and almost-but-not-quite heartbreaking - in the best way, of course.
The Night Before the Night Before Christmas by
cherie_morte (Remus/Sirius, PG-13): It is completely ridiculous how adorable Sirius is in this fic - yes, and it's completely ridiculous how easy it is to fall in love with a fictional character who's in love with another fictional character.
Smutty Claus:
*Ride the Drafts in Empty Bedrooms (Severus/Narcissa, NC-17): Beautiful and beautifully told - although in a way, it's one of the saddest stories I've ever read. Of course Severus can brew Felix Felicis, and of course he turns to using it....
Snapelyholidays:
**Subtlety Personified (Snape/Slughorn, PG): I must admit that I am not normally a Slughorn fan, but this is brilliant. Subtlety personified is exactly the right name for it, but it's the sort of subtlety that will just bowl you over and make you fall in love with this story.
Out of This World (Snape/Hermione, PG): A brilliant, softer ending - or rather, beginning - for Severus and Hermione.
*The Caretaker (Snape/Filch, R): This is entirely, entirely brilliant ... such a creative reimagining of canon through Filch's eyes, and such a beautiful story.
Magical Hazard: Handle With Care (Snape/Neville, PG): This is such a difficult pairing to really believe (for me, at least) ... but I think it works beautifully here, and without ignoring any of the complicated history these two characters have or ignoring any inconvenient details.
*By the Clock (Snape/Dumbledore, R): I've never liked thinking that Albus should be all alone his entire life because Gellert was his One True Love ... and this pairing works so well here. I absolutely adore seeing prickly, independent Snape and yearning, well-meaning-but-slow Albus together.
Snupin Santa:
A Romance (Remus/Snape, NC-17): A train AU! with a sweet, plotty romance ... this is the sort of fic to read when you're curled up with blankets and a mug of hot chocolate.
Fits and Starts (Remus/Snape, PG-13): Creative premise, adorable moments, snarky Snape, a darling Teddy ... what more could you ask for?
Mad Wolves and Englishmen (Remus/Snape, NC-17): Worth reading for the droll humor alone, but it's a fun story with a brilliant ending, too!
Yule Balls:
It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine) (Hugo/Scorpius, NC-17): Brilliant bonding fic.
Chamber of Secrets, or Treasures Discovered in an Attic (Harry/Teddy, NC-17): Guh, brilliant hot USTy goodness. Absolutely wonderful!
Those Who Wait (Sirius/OMC, Remus/Sirius, NC-17): A lovely story with a wonderful narrative voice - the boys feel very true to life here.
One Step Forward, Two Steps Back; Shag, Rinse, Repeat (Teddy/James, NC-17): Beautifully angsty and poignant.
As always, do please let the creators of these works know if you've enjoyed them ... and if there's anything fabulous that I've missed, do please let me know about that! :)
