Harry shredded the wedding invitation and reached for the Firewhiskey.
Hermione reconstructed the ivory confetti, setting the invitation before Harry. "You promised to be there."
"Drunken promises ..."
"You gave your word." She zapped him with a sobering spell and pulled him to the Floo.
Snape was pale, the pinched lines of a hangover around his mouth. Harry closed his eyes, letting Hermione steer him to the front row.
"Do you, Severus Snape ..."
Fists clenched, Severus stared at Harry. "No."
"You promised, Severus," Draco said. "You promised."
His eyes closed, his mouth set, Severus turned away from Harry. "Yes. I do."
