Severus begins the pile with the basket from their picnics, the fairy lights from their Christmas tree, the books they read together, every joy that he has known.
The pile grows with the scented candles, the fluffy towels, every comfort brought into his life.
In the end, he adds the sheets still musky with their mingled scents, the luxurious oils, the drawer of toys, every passion they knew together.
The photo album keeps each memory. Severus brushes his thumb across a small photo face, watches Harry squirm and smile. At last, he sets the album aside – no Incendio for this.
