Two funny things!



My mom does her usual thing and forwards me an e-mail - this time, about how applying Vicks to your feet will cure your cough.

I spend 15 seconds boggling (... feet? .... honestly?) and 15 seconds on snopes to find out that Vicks is not really recommended for application to the feet, be it for colds or toenail fungus.

My mother's response? .... "Thanks Lyv. I know it's odd, but I always liked the smell of vicks. I associate it with my grandma."

... what?

I got this review for A Season of Cherries today:

"Great story. Please write more. Not one shots though. Just ignore books six
and seven, they are not very good. Hermione is too smart to be involved with
either Ron or Draco; don't put her with such dumb guys. I don't believe what
JKR wrote after book five."

Yeah. That was my day. That, and the fact that I finished the second of two presentations in the past 7 days. Sorry I've not been around much - RL + modding has eated my LJ time. :(
